68 Means I Keep Going

Today is my birthday.

I turned 68.

For some people, birthdays are all about the number. For me, they’re about perspective.

Every year reminds me that time is precious. It reminds me to be grateful for the people who make my life richer—BigDog, Luna, my kids, my grandbabies, and my mom. It reminds me that growing older is a privilege, not a guarantee.

But it also reminds me of something else.

I’m not done.

I’m still learning.

I’m still building.

I’m still dreaming.

One of the things I say often is:

“Don’t let your age determine the size of your dreams.”

That isn’t just something I write. It’s how I’ve chosen to live. After retiring, I started over. I learned new skills, embraced AI, built a blog and a Pinterest business, and found a new creative purpose I never expected at this stage of my life.

This birthday isn’t about looking back.

It’s about looking forward.

If you’re wondering whether it’s too late to start something new, I hope my story reminds you that it isn’t.
