The Best Thing I Learned After Retirement Wasn’t AI

It Was That I Was Still Capable of Learning

There are moments in life that remind you you’re still capable of surprising yourself.

This week was one of those moments.

I’ve been learning how to build an online business after retirement—writing blog posts, growing Pinterest, creating YouTube videos, and learning how AI can help me work smarter. Recently, I uploaded some of my business numbers into Claude, and within minutes it created a presentation that honestly left me speechless.

It wasn’t just the graphs or the design.

It was seeing my own progress laid out in front of me.

Five months ago, I had no website traffic, no affiliate commissions, and no real idea where this journey would lead. Today, I’m watching steady growth, learning something new almost every day, and proving to myself that curiosity doesn’t retire when we do.

That’s really what this video is about.

Not artificial intelligence.

Not blogging.

Not Pinterest.

It’s about refusing to believe that learning has an age limit.

At 67, I’m still reinventing myself, and I hope my journey encourages someone else to take that first step toward theirs.

I’ve attached this week’s video below, where I share the numbers, the lessons, and why I think AI is one of the most useful productivity tools I’ve ever learned—not because it replaces us, but because it helps us keep creating.

I’d love to know…

What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to learn but thought you were too old to try?
