3. Fill Every Empty Space

Shoes are hollow space use them with your travel shoe bags. Stuff socks inside. Tuck underwear into corners. Slide belts along the edges. Packing compactly is like playing Tetris, a space for everything. Every inch counts.

4. Wear Your Bulkiest Items on Travel Day

Boots. Jackets. Chunky sweaters. Instead of packing them, wear them. You can always take layers off once you board the plane or settle into the car. This alone frees up surprising space in your suitcase. When you ready a or it’s cost effective for you a spinner carry on suitcase is also a nice addition.

5. Pack Outfits Not Options

I think this is the hack I will try this upcoming trip.

Lay outfits out on the bed before packing. Stick to one color palette so pieces mix and match easily. If you wouldn’t wear it at home that week, you probably won’t wear it on your trip. less “just in case.” More intention.

Packing compactly isn’t about having less it’s about traveling lighter and moving easier. And at this stage of life? I’m all about less stress and more freedom. If you’re heading out on a trip soon, try just one of these tips and see how it changes the way you pack.
